Creating the Letter Shape
After preparing the acrylic sheet, you can begin creating the letter shape. Required tools include a computer, a laser engraving machine, or a CNC cutting machine. After designing the letter shape on the computer, use a laser engraving machine or CNC cutting machine to create the letter shape. It is particularly important to keep the cutting blade as perpendicular as possible to the acrylic sheet surface when cutting; otherwise, the edges are prone to cracking.
Choosing a Rainbow Sheet
To make the neon signs brighter, you can choose a rainbow sheet to cover the acrylic sheet. Rainbow sheet is a special covering material that allows neon signs to have different color effects. When choosing a rainbow sheet, ensure it matches the color of the already created acrylic letter shape.
Attaching Acrylic Letters to the Rainbow Board
Position the pre-made acrylic letters onto the rainbow board and secure them with glue. It's important to ensure the acrylic letters are flush with the rainbow board surface to prevent bubbling or cracking.
Cutting the Rainbow Board
After securing the acrylic letters to the rainbow board, use a cutting tool to cut the rainbow board to the same size and shape as the acrylic letters. When using the cutting tool, keep it as close to the edge of the acrylic letters as possible to ensure clean cuts.
Attaching the Neon Letters to the Stand
The final step is to attach the finished neon letters to the stand. The stand is usually made of metal and can be chosen in different sizes and shapes as needed. When attaching the neon letters to the stand, use special screws and fasteners to ensure the letters are secure and stable.
